The national comprehensive prize of Humanity Classical of 2006
Follow the idea of realizing good interaction between human being and the natural surroundings in line with the local condition.
Outline of the design: create a general structure of one center, one sight seeing loop, one axes of water system and slop, and five residential area
Liuan is located in the west of Anhui province and north of Dabieshan Mountain. With 40k㎡ downtown area and 400,000 population, the city is the center of Dabieshan District with complete instructions and functions. The project is sited in the core of the new area of Liuan. It is facing to Fozilin Road in the north, the provincial road in the south and Huanan Road in the east. The undulating terrain, the roads around it and complete public utility make this residential quarter ideal for living.
Predominant geographical environment gives a big pressure on the exploration of this area. We will accurately make use of its characteristics, basing on future development, to build this area into a best ecological residential place.
We will reasonably allocate the landscape of this area and combine the placement of the apartment rooms with the natural views in the best way. Try to embody classical construction culture in its sculpting.
In terms of ecology and energy saving, the designers attach importance to design according to its environmental and topographical speciality. Nature resources and landform here are reserved in the best way.
The contents of our “low technology level but high efficiency” design idea are as bellow.
- Considering wind direction and heating of sunshine in Liuan, weakening the border of outdoor and indoor space, try to find the best combination.
- Preserve the original ecology in the largest way, use water and plants to adjust the climate in summer and the micro-environment within this area so that to improve the outer hot comfortableness.
- Plant trees in the outer space. Besides using them to improve the air condition, we also want to utilize the shadow made by large arbors to reduce heat radiation of the sun.
Set a temperature damp area. Place the subordinate rooms namely staircase, washroom and kitchen) in the north, west and east to reduce the influence of cold wind to the comfortableness to indoor environment.
Make full use of natural resource:
- Use solar energy to heat water for wash
- Collect rain to irrigate plants in the quarter, to flush the toilet or to be the supplemental water for the sceneries.
Use new technology to lower the energy consumption
- Its RC frame structure with filled in masonry reduces the weight of the architecture and the consumption of constructional material such as steel and cement.
- The walls, doors and windows are made of new materials with high tech, which are able to preserve heat. In this way, the electricity used to warm or cool rooms could be saved.
Choose the equipment with high efficiency but low energy cost to save power. For example, use intelligent “VRV” household central air conditioner for residents. |
