Shaoxing Hotel and Commercial City is in the new area of Dangzhang in Gansu Province, connecting to the trunk road of the new town—Gansu Road and facing to the culture square which is planned for the new town. It is against mountains in the north, rivers running through it; West and east sides are residential areas. The total occupation is about 105 mu.
Its panning is strictly conform to the city layout and development and give a full consideration of its local specialty and sight seeing, fuse the inner and outer view into a whole part, so that to enhance its status of a central service area of a tourism city.
Planning idea:
Harmonize the surrounding and its unique layout; show its character in mountain.
Enhance the theme of “water”.
Block is the understanding to mountain and Dangchang folk house. We combine blocks to construct architecture.
Bring bridge, running water and level space into the design to show Shaoxing’s characteristics as a water county.
